Electric Scooter For Indian Market

The EC-05 is an electrical scooter from the famous brand Yamaha. Yamaha is one of the largest manufacturers of motorcycles in the world.

The EC-05 is created in a partnership with the Taiwanese e-scooter startup Gogoro and the scooter shares many features of the Gogoro 2, including the power train and batteries.

The scooter has a 6,400-watt electric motor. The scooter has a top speed of 90 km/h and accelerates from 0 to 50 km/h in 3.9 seconds.

The speed of the scooter are often restricted to be officially registered as 45km/h scooter in Europe.

Electric ScooterThe scooter has two removable Gogoro-compatible Lithium batteries for a range of 110 km. Yamaha has entered a partnership with Honda, Kawasaki, and Suzuki to design a standardized swap-able battery that can be shared by many electric vehicles, including cars and boats.

The batteries can be swapped at existing Gogoro GoStation battery-swap facilities and Gogoro provides a home-charger named GoCharger.

Electric ScooterThe dashboard is similar to that of the Gogoro 2. The scooter has a wireless RFID key and connects to a smartphone for access to scooter apps.

The scooter is available in 4 colors:

Islate Blue, Diamond Black, Deep Blue, and Sugar White.





Yamaha recently revealed its Fascino 125 FI Hybrid scooter and is currently performing on a totally electric scooter for the Indian market. The new electric scooter will join the ranks of Bajaj Chetak and TVS iQube. this may make it the third major company within the EV sector in India. Other startups include Ather, Revolt and more. According to a report by Autocar India, the Japanese Yamaha Motor Company is currently performing on developing an EV for India, also as international markets. However, it'll only launch after a stable government policy for EVs is introduced that encourages the rapid development of EV infrastructure within the country.
