The Unique Identification Authority of India or UIDAI is offering the opportunity to easily update the date of birth, name and gender in a few steps.
New Delhi: Aadhaar card is a very important document at present. Match all the information from a person's address to his age from the Aadhaar card. Not only that, Aadhaar card is also required for opening a bank account to get a new phone connection or gas connection. Aadhaar card is now required for any important purpose. This 12 digit Aadhaar card contains date of birth, name and gender. The Unique Identification Authority of India or UIDAI is offering the opportunity to update gender with birth date, name in a simple way in a few steps.
In case of name change, the person concerned should be informed about the reason for the change. The spelling of the name is wrong, it is possible to change it if the letter is omitted, the name can be changed after marriage. A charge of Rs 50 will be levied in case of change of name.
In case of name change,
1. Log in to Unique Identification Authority of India i.e. UIDAI at ssup.uidai.gov.in/ssup/.
2. Now you have to write the 12 digit Aadhaar number.
3. Now you have to write captcha or verification code.
4. Click on Send OTP option.
5. OTP will go to the registered mobile number.
Now you can change the name instead of changing the name by logging in.
In case of change of date of birth,
1. Log in to Unique Identification Authority of India i.e. UIDAI at ssup.uidai.gov.in/ssup/.
2. Now you have to write the 12 digit Aadhaar number.
3. Now you have to write captcha or verification code.
4. Click on Send OTP option.
5. OTP will go to the registered mobile number.
6. Now you have to write OTP in the specific place.
7. Now you can log in. At the same time the details of your Aadhaar card can be seen on the computer monitor.
8. There will be options to change the date of birth.
9. Scanned copies of all documents must be uploaded as per UIDAI instructions.
10. Then click on submit.
If the gender information in the Aadhaar card is wrong, there is a chance to change it. In this case 50 rupees will be charged. Besides, several documents are also required. Which is written on the relevant website.
To change gender information,
1. Log in to Unique Identification Authority of India i.e. UIDAI at ssup.uidai.gov.in/ssup/.
2. Now you have to write the 12 digit Aadhaar number.
3. Now you have to write captcha or verification code.
4. Click on Send OTP option.
5. OTP will go to the registered mobile number.
6. Now you have to write OTP in the specific place.
7. Then when you log in, a page will open.
8. There you can change the gender option. Then click on submit.
